Obama - Learn From Mandela

I find that I get into the most difficulty with my personal budget when I ignore the problems facing us. It seems that this is exactly what this country is doing right now as it relates to our current economy. The conservatives are not saying much, but they are taking allot. They are saying do not stimulate and control the deficit. The liberals are saying and doing nothing because of having heard the conservative message repeatedly. By default, the conservative message prevails.

The administration needs to go into campaign mode. Address the issue. Re-establish a campaign team. This time the campaign should be to save the economy. The politics of the situation is that nothing will happen unless the public supports a stimulus package. Obama needs to take a lesson from the movie Invictus where Nelson Mandela is a leader by example.

Obama------LEAD!!

What Can Free Market Conservatives Do?

I am a free market conservative. I voted republican in every presidential election since 1968, except one. It is obvious that our government must live within its means and do so in a manner as not to interfere with a functioning free market economy. If we desire to take control of government, we must demand government carry out one of its primary functions; protecting free markets from tyranny, both public and private. If you are under the age of 50 you should be concerned about China from an economic and global power standpoint. Some believe China is seeking peace with the rest of the world. Based on their long history, I am not convinced. For China long term is hundreds of years and for the United States it is the next election cycle. China's focus is always on the long term.
